This Sunday the long recreational ride is the Gravel and Tar Fondo course (without the Higgins quarry).
We have a refugee that we are helping getting back into cycling here.
Ian Grey has sorted him a track bike but we need to sort a road bike so he can bike to Feilding track meetings.
Good bloke, and we wish to help out.
If anyone has a 54-56 cm Road bike they could lend to Mohammad and some shoes and cleats to match he would be most appreciative.
If anyone can help out contact Tim Lloyd on 0274 964411
Firstly, I would like to thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I want you to know that I am very interested in cycling. I started my career in 2013, when I joined the Bangkok Cycling Team for three years and participated in many races and competitions between the Thai capital and provinces. Unfortunately I could not join them legally because I was an illegal refugee, however, for the last three years I have been training permanently until the last six months. Since then, I have completely stopped practicing because New Zealand accepted me and my family for resettlement so we moved here. Now, I hope I have the opportunity to return to cycling and be a successful member of the Manawatu cycling community.
As requested, I have included my measurements:
Age: 22 years
Inner leg measurement: 87cm
Shoe size 10.5 or 44EU
I have a cycle helmet and lock, but I do not have bib shorts, or shoes with cleats.
Again, thank you very much for your help.
Best regards and I look forward to meeting you soon,
